Horizon is looking for a mid-career editor to join our team.

You will:

• Be a fast, accurate editor who can handle copy from non-native English speakers
• Have at least one year of full time editing experience and be familiar with AP style
• Have a good general knowledge of geopolitics, especially emerging markets
• Have a good news sense
• Be interested in learning about our clients and their concerns
• Be skilled in managing small group dynamics

Established in 2003, Horizon (www.horizonengage.com) is a New York-based business intelligence company providing in-depth analysis of stakeholders, geopolitics, sanctions and security in emerging market countries. Our clients are direct investors in sectors including natural resources, infrastructure and manufacturing.

What are the job’s duties?

You will help maintain and expand one of our business intelligence products. This will involve line and content editing, liaising with writers, and some light photo editing. You may also lend a hand with other products on an as-needed basis.

What do we pay?

The pay range for this position is between $50-65K.

What other requirements are there?

The job is based in New York and requires you to work in our office. You must be authorized to work in the United States.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
