Corporate Accounting – Associate Director

We are looking for an Associate Director, Accounting to lead a collaborative team that supports the Raytheon Technologies (RTX) Corporate Accounting department in its mission to ensure that the Company’s financial reporting is timely, accurate and reliable. The role can be hybrid or remote.

The Candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the RTX Corporate Accounting team, assist in employees’ ongoing development, and ensure tasks are being assigned efficiently and effectively
  • Review, understand, and explain the results of the quarterly Corporate balance sheet and P&L and present results to senior management
  • Coordinate and oversee the close process between multiple ledgers and provide secondary review of manual journal entries, account reconciliations and other deliverables
  • Serve as a primary liaison to other Corporate finance functions including FP&A, Tax, Treasury Accounting and Holding Company Accounting, Benefits Finance as well as the Enterprise Services Accounting teams
  • Act as primary contact with the external auditors on Corporate Accounting topics involved in the annual integrated financial statement audit and quarterly reviews
  • Evaluate risks and opportunities and escalate as appropriate with recommendations for resolution.
  • Lead enterprise-wide process improvements projects and corporate initiatives in accounting, utilizing the CORE framework and tools
  • Support finance transformation efforts and identify opportunities to centralize processes and tasks
  • Support and participate in the ongoing enterprise-wide system implementations (OneStream, S4)

Required Skills, Knowledge, Ability

  • Strong applicable work experience in Financial Management/Leadership
  • Excellent analytical, problem identification, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Able to meet critical deadlines, develop and apply solutions and process improvements
  • Flexibility, agility, and willingness to expand responsibilities
  • Experience recognizing process shortfalls and successfully implementing positive change
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple priorities with limited oversight

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • RTX segment accounting experience or aerospace and defense industry experience
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related area
  • Experience with data reporting and analytics tools (Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)

Required Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • This role typically requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field and 12 or more years of experience OR an advance degree in a related field and 10 years

US Citizenship:

  • This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

TO BE CONSIDERERD FOR REMOTE ROLES CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCATED IN THE CONUS

The salary range for this role is 139,000 USD - 277,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
