The Property Support Specialist will work under the leadership of the President & CEO and Senior Property Manager in Managing all aspects of assigned properties, including but not limited to Tenant Relations, Leasing, Inspecting Assets, Maintenance, Budget, Owner’s Relations, and Capital projects. The Property Support Specialist will be responsible for meeting the Owner’s and MiddleTown Property Group’s asset goals. The Assistant Property Manager must meet and maintain the requirements of the Employee Handbook.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Property Support Specialist

-Complies with Fair Housing Laws and Standards.

-Ensure keys and codes are verified for leasing, tenants, inspections, and maintenance.

-Communicate with Tenants regarding renewals, maintenance, inspections, lease violations, tenant issues, and any additional needs.

-Document and maintain records of all Tenant and Vendor communication.

-Follow MiddleTown Property Group Policy for Tenant Communication.

-Put Maintenance Requests into Property Management Software.

-Communicate with Vendors and Maintenance personnel to schedule maintenance services to assets and ensure maintenance issues are resolved.

-Inspect and follow up with vendors during Capital Expense projects to verify projects comply with scope, meet MiddleTown Property Group and Property Owners’ Expectations, and stay on contract outlined time and costs.

-Inspect units that may have lease violations.

-Inspect exteriors, interiors, and common spaces of the properties to maintain the appropriate conditions.

-Meet with Muncie Housing Authority representatives at unit locations to ensure units are up to Section 8 standards.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a concentration in Business or Property Management.

- 1 Year of Customer Service Preferred

- 1 Year of Management Preferred

-Clean Background

- Valid Driver’s License

- Reliable Vehicle

- Reliable Smartphone with internet capabilities

-Occasional travel required

Typical Physical Demand

- Ability to lift 20 lbs.

- Work in an office setting.

- Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period.

- Ability to be on your feet for an extended period.

- Ability to use hand and arm for writing and/or typing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $34,000.00 per year
