Summary:

SCWA is currently seeking an Assistant Pipeline Supervisor for the Construction Maintenance Department to assist in the planning and oversight of the installation of water main. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and managing the day-to-day activities of pipeline inspectors in relation to the planning and construction of water main.

Description:

Responsibilities Include:

• Communicate with groups within the Construction Maintenance Department to coordinate and complete projects.
• Assist in the management of day-to-day activities.
• Communicate regularly with pipeline contractors on scheduling projects.
• Perform site visits before, during, and after construction.
• Resolve issues as they arise in the planning and execution of projects.
• Create instructions and issue materials to contractors. Paint field mark outs for proposed water main projects.
• Create field measurements for proposed water main projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with various municipal agencies, developers, and engineers to coordinate pipeline projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• 2-5 years construction/water supply field experience.
• Working knowledge of underground construction industry, preferred in water supply.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD required.
• Preferred knowledge in OnBase, SAP, GIS App.
• NYS Public Water System Operator license preferred.
