A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

As an Assistant Financial Controller, you're responsible for the timely and accurate reconciliation of our company's bank accounts. Your day-to-day tasks include supervising accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other general accounting functions. You also execute daily ACH and banking processes related to the payroll process services provided to our clients. Working alongside the CFO, you issue accurate monthly financial statements and reporting packages to the management team and our investors.

Additionally, you manage all month-end closing processes and assist the CFO with our annual budget. As requested by external financial auditors, you provide relevant information to facilitate the timely completion of our annual audit and issue the corresponding financial statements. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and related regulations, policies, and procedures
• Proficiency with computer software, such as Microsoft Office and Excel, and accounting systems, including QuickBooks
• Ability to manage others inside and outside the accounting department

A certified public accountant (CPA) credential is preferred. Experience in a management position would be a plus, but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills? Can you maintain confidentiality and internal controls? Are you highly organized and attentive to detail?
