Job description
Within UCLA Health Sciences Development, (HSD) we believe the magnitude and impact of our donor engagement is broad and deep and are committed to delivering the highest level of stewardship to all UCLA Health donors. When you join us as an Assistant Director of Stewardship, you will work with a highly collaborative and constituent driven team focused on effectively recognizing, informing and engaging our donors. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your abilities to manage and track information, develop donor materials and expand stewardship strategies to our team. UCLA Health is among the most comprehensive and advanced health care systems in the world. Together, UCLA Health and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA strive every day to be a model that redefines the standard of excellence in health care. As a member of our HSD team, you will be given the training and resources to excel in a supportive environment that offers long-term opportunities for professional development and growth as part of our robust External Affairs enterprise serving UCLA.

As an Assistant Director of Stewardship, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day activities that ensure timely, smooth and accurate implementation of HSD's stewardship program. You will oversee information and tracking processes for acknowledgement, recognition, on-going communications, and continued cultivation of past and current major donors. You will partner with Directors of Development to determine the best strategies for effective stewardship of donors and alumni, and opportunities for developing new stewardship programs and will be responsible for a wide range of programmatic duties. You will proactively support the stewardship responsibilities of the development staff and collaborate with a diverse group of internal constituents, to facilitate the appropriate stewardship activities. As an Assistant Director of Stewardship, you will also help develop a range of donor-driven materials and will write about complex science in a style that is understandable and exciting to a lay-audience. In addition, as our Assistant Director, you may serve as a contact for donors that require help, resolving problems, questions, and concerns. You will be a valued member of our team whose work will enhance our relationships with prospects and donors and increase the likelihood of new and continued contributions.
