Summary of Position
Includes supervising 4-6 full time residence hall directors who implement a comprehensive educational curriculum with a significant focus on student contact, learning, success and overall well-being. In addition, assuming department wide responsibilities and decision making for several key areas within the department/division. The Assistant Director maintains full budget authority for multiple budgets within the department and functions as a vital part of the department central staff leadership team consisting of the Director, Associate Director, and 4 Assistant Directors. Successful and meaningful collaboration with other departments is expected.

Other minimum qualifications
2 years full-time professional experience in college residence halls. Master’s degree in higher education or related field. 2 years of supervisory experience in college residence halls; excellent verbal communication skills; demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion; leadership and community development; educational curriculum, assessment, and student conduct: ability to use basic computer software, including Microsoft Office: demonstrated strong administrative skills.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
2 years supervising full time residence hall staff members; 4-5 years working in college residence halls; demonstrated record of training residence hall staff members on a variety of subjects; demonstrated knowledge of student and organizational development theory and practice.
