Are you a team player who is highly organised and able to efficiently wash and prepare a workstation? Can you skin, slice, chop, and season ingredients to a high standard? If these are skills you hold, we want to hear from you at Miss Lady's Bakery Cafe.

We are looking to add a talented Line Cook to our dedicated kitchen team. You’ll be working with our extremely skilled Head and Sous Chef to begin preparing dishes and ensuring all orders are able to be served to our customers on time, at the high quality they expect.

You’ll also work closely with our wait staff to ensure any food allergies, intolerances, and other changes are taken into account when preparing ingredients.

• Line Cook Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize kitchen stations ready for food preparation.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and tools.
• Gather and clean ingredients.
• Peel, chop, dice, slice, and otherwise prepare ingredients.
• Tenderise or marinade meat.
• Prepare sauces.
• Follow instructions from the Sous Chef.
• Note any needed stock ready for ordering.
• Store any leftover ingredients in the correct fashion.
• Ensure all food standards and safety procedures are followed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar position.

• Expert knowledge in kitchen equipment and tool safety.

• A high level of food safety processes and procedures.

• High level of communication skills.

• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to work on feet for long periods.

• High level of attention to detail.

• A degree in a culinary-related field is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
