Role Description Summary:
The Baker Assistant performs various preparations, focusing on baked goods and desserts, while assisting to ensure kitchen remains efficient in creating dishes for patrons.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides guests with an outgoing, sincere, and willing attitude in an effort to create STAR experiences.

• Prepares, produces, and bakes a variety of breads and desserts including but not limited to batters, breakfast breads, banquet and holiday specialty desserts.

• Decorates baked goods such as cupcakes and celebration plates.

• Works with kitchen team to develop new products for a-la carte and banquet menus.

• Prepares garnishes for baked goods as needed.

• Keeps spoilage and waste at a minimum by utilizing proper quantities and rotating product.

• Team Member may be required to perform other duties.

Requirements:

• Able to stand for long periods of time.

• Servsafe certification preferred

• Possess knowledge of basic bakery equipment including but not limited to: mixers, combination oven, and dough press.

• Experience in hot/cold dessert & dough making production, as well as decoration of baked goods.

• Flexibility to work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays.

• Ability to work in a high-volume kitchen environment.

• Able to lift 20 pounds.
