Are you handy with tools? Do enjoy woodworking? This company is looking for a Fabricator/Assembler to help them create superior quality custom door masterpieces.

  • Pay: $18.00 - $24.00
  • Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm
  • Location: River Falls

Summary: Operates a variety of woodworking and metal fabricating machines, uses various hand tools to fabricate custom and standard components from raw and finished material, assembles components into finished goods according to design print and documentation by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Read prints for Specialty orders to setup and operate molder and CNC. Will also be tasked with custom routing and sanding as needed. Installing hardware such as handle sets, three point locks, and hinges as job print specifies.
  • Places components in specified relationship to design print and documentation through the use of but not limited to adhesives, screws, staples, nails and dowels.
  • Responsible for moving assembled components from one station to the next.
  • Sets up and operates machine tools associated with assembling components such as but not limited to Timesavers, saws, routers, drills, screw guns, pneumatic tools, clamps and various hand tools.
  • Fit and clamp components and subassemblies together to form a complete unit.
  • Responsible for utilization of components in order to capture maximum yield.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all components used complies to specification standards.
  • Responsible that all raw materials used complies to specification standards.
  • Designs and constructs templates and fixtures.
  • Sets up and operates machine tools associated with fabricating shops such as but not limited to molders, shapers, Timesaver, saws, glue racks, routers, edge planer, cutting torches, drill press, pneumatic tools and various hand tools.
  • Ensure safety and housekeeping requirements are in place and working in all areas. Suggest changes to increase safety and efficiency.
  • Guarantees integrity and timeliness of the production schedule.
  • Confirm compliance with all Quality Assurance Program requirements as they pertain to manufacturing personnel.
  • Analyzes and requisitions materials, based on production schedule.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders.
  • Verify that all work performed conforms to current process standards

Education and/or Experience :

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year of custom wood working or CNC experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills :

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills :

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability :

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
