Joseph Machine Company, located in Dillsburg, PA, is seeking a candidate to join our machine assembly team. JMC is a growing OEM of highly automated equipment. We are seeking experienced technicians for our assembly department. We need candidates who are seasoned in mechanical assembly, electrical assembly and machine set up. The ability to efficiently diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, use measuring tools and follow processes is needed. Being comfortable working in a team environment is key.

Job Description

Assembler/Electrical Technician

Job Description:
Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units. Test and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Uses hand tools and small power tools to assemble units. Uses precision measuring equipment to verify machine performance. Wires electrical panels and machinery per electrical schematics. Also has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the industrial mechanical field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Candidate will also be traveling to customer sites to install and train employees on machine operation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain general shop safety and cleanliness.

2. Break down a Bill of Material (BOM) into sub-assemblies to check all parts

3. Break down the complete job and organize the assembly build process

4. Assemble standard components/subassemblies

5. Assemble and align in-feeds with their associated machines

6. Trouble shoot and de-bug mechanical assemblies

7. Utilize basic machine shop equipment to manufacture basic prints to parts

8. Help provide training to lower level assemblers/trainees

9. Run machines manually or using computer interface.

10. Complete final testing and qualification of machinery prior to customer acceptance.

11. Any other work-related duties assigned by the Production Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

1. Having good mechanical/electrical aptitude.

2. Must be efficient in the use of hand tools such as drills, measuring devises, electrical meters, etc.

3. Must possess good people skills and have the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of people from plant managers to machine operators.

4. Must be dependable, reliable, hard working.

5. Good attendance is a must.

6. Basic math skills/ Computer skills

7. Ability to read and understand cad drawings of mechanical assemblies.

8. Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.

9. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis.

10. Ability to work independently and still function as a team player.

11. Ability to assemble basic standard components to JMC specifications.

12. Ability to assemble basic sub-assemblies under supervision.

13. Pneumatic/hydraulic systems knowledge.

14. Must be available to work overtime as needed.

15. Requires a high school diploma and/or related experience or comparable abilities.

16. Must have current passport or have the ability to obtain one for traveling out of the USA

17. Other duties as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
