Position Title: Assembly – 1st Shift
Wage: $14.00 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
Join a company that assembles cable harnesses, including heavy-gauge industrial cable & custom electronic component cable with this Assembly opportunity. This is an entry level assembly position to get your foot in the door. This customer has been around for many years and continues to grow.
- Reads instructions such as board prints, routing instruction, and pick sheets to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly.
- Selects wires of specified type, size, or marking, and loops wires between hardware on harness board, following lines or sequential numbers on board with routing instruction.
- Wraps and ties wires together at designated points to form harness.
- Applies wire marking sleeves and labels for identification purpose.
- Attaches ends of wires to components, sockets, or terminal lugs.
- Tests wiring continuity with continuity tester.
- Completes finishing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Inserts cable in tubing to protect cable from signal interference.
- Recognizes and uses proper hand tools required to perform such duties for assembly of wire harnesses.
- Must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
