POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking an Assembler to join our Assembly team in Indianapolis. This position is responsible for performing a variety of production assembly tasks by using machines, tools, and requires use of hands for seizing, holding, grasping, turning, etc. as well as fine manipulation: touching, picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers.

We're offering $2000 SIGN ON BONUS for this role!!

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Performs a variety of basic production and assembly processes by following assembly work instructions
• Operates various production assembly machines and may use hand tools to assemble products
• Visually inspects parts to quality standards as described in the quality system
• Communicates any problems which arise to the supervisor/lead person
• Packs finished product as set forth by work instruction, including instructional sheets and any necessary hardware
• Will be required to cross-train and rotate on a frequent basis

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in an assembly/production environment preferred
• Basic understanding of math preferred
• May require basic computer skills
• Lean skills preferred
• Professional communication skills
• Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
