Your Key Responsibilities
We offer three different apprenticeship opportunities as listed below:
- Tool and Die Maker: Machine Tool Technology Apprentice Program provides apprentices in setup and operation of all standard machine tools for the purpose of manufacturing precision parts. A tool and die maker apprentice will be trained in the areas of mathematics, blueprint reading, CAD, metals, and computer numerical control
- Skilled Set-Up: Skilled Set-Up Apprenticeship Program provides apprentices training for mechanical aspects of industry. A skilled set-up operator apprentice will be trained in areas of mathematics, blueprint reading, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics, troubleshooting, and will be trained to diagnose, fix and repair on a highly mechanical level
- Electronics Technology: The Electrical Apprenticeship Program provides apprentices training for the electrical side of the industry. An electrical apprentice will be trained in mathematics, electrical blueprint reading, understanding AC/DC current and voltage, wiring, troubleshooting, programmable logic controller's, and will be trained to diagnose, fix and repair various equipment related to the topics above
- Rotate in departments related to the trade to complete 7000 on-the-job training hours and successfully complete related classroom instruction specific to the trade
- Work closely with an Professional in conducting preventative and corrective maintenance of the building, machinery and equipment
- Completes work-orders in a timely and efficient manner under the supervision of a journeyperson, attends classes as required for apprenticeship, and troubleshoots equipment
- Requires a highly motivated individual who is willing to learn and apply acquired skills
- Overtime as well as weekend and holiday work hours are required
Your Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical and Electrical aptitude and knowledge
- Hands-on learner
- Enthusiastic about their career in skilled trades
- Excellent communication ability (written & verbal)
- Positive work ethic
- Problem solving skills
