This innovative employment-funded program aims to accelerate the careers of graduating students as well as keeping outstanding talent in Syracuse and Central New York. The program consists of a one-year, salary paid, career apprenticeship, along with mentorship and networking opportunities to ensure success long-term. Whether you are pursuing a degree in music while learning multiple languages, or mixing a love of economics and English literature, liberal arts graduates can operate well in a challenging, innovative environment.

What you'll be doing:

Under the guidance of mid- and senior-level account team members, you'll help coordinate the planning and execution of projects and campaigns for our clients. You’ll regularly attend meetings and calls with clients, communicate information and objectives with internal teams, and assist in the preparation of proposals and budgets.

• Guides day-to-day development of advertising activities with approved plans; ensures that progressive stages are approved with adequate time to meet schedules, reporting any changes to the Account Supervisor
• Assists in coordination of campaign and project activities
• Coordinates the planning and execution of advertising activities for clients
• Acquires knowledge of client’s business so that marketing and advertising problems and opportunities may be anticipated
• Attends strategy and planning meetings with account services, creative staff and production team
• Attends meetings with clients and Account Manager and prepares reports of the proceedings
• Serves as client contact for certain jobs when others are unavailable
• Assists in preparation of campaign proposals and budgets
• Analyzes competitive activity and consumer trends
• Analyzes previous client campaigns and problems, and reports to Account Manager

We expect this role to work in our Syracuse office (760 W. Genesee Street) in order to get the best experience possible!

Ideal Skills/Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing across a wide variety of mediums
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers
• Ability to analyze and solve problems; critical thinking and analysis of complex questions
• Excellent organizational skills; able to leverage appropriate technology and information system(s) to manage data
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and with others effectively to achieve goals and understand broader needs of social diversity and inclusion
• Comfortable with some ambiguity and demonstrated ability to be adaptable

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Interest in advertising, marketing, business, graphic design, art or related field
• For this program, we can only accept recent graduates who are graduating with a liberal arts degree from Syracuse University, Le Moyne College or SUNY Oswego in May 2023.
  • Only students who are graduating in May 2023 are eligible. You must be receiving an undergraduate degree, unfortunately graduate students are not eligible.
  • Only students who are graduating from Syracuse University, Le Moyne College or SUNY Oswego are eligible.
  • Only students who are receiving a degree in liberal arts are eligible. We cannot accept students for this program from pre-professional programs such as law, medicine, accounting, business or science programs such as biology, biotechnology, chemistry, information science, mathematics, physics or statistics.
