PURPOSE OF ROLE:The purpose of the Cash Application Specialist role is to timely and accurately process cash receipts from customers and all AR transactions in Ravago ERP systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Download ACH/wires from Wells Fargo website and post in system.
- Download lockbox payment details spreadsheet from Wells Fargo website and post in system.
- Post carrier, credit card, and customer cash payments received in Wells Fargo operating account.
- Post Ravago Americas inter-company payments.
- Process and transact all Credit Department or Seller requests.
- Maintain cash application spreadsheets and reports.
- Review all bank transactions to ensure all posting is processed.
- Coverage for colleagues or assistance with projects as needed.
- Ensure all cash is applied for month-end.
- Assist accountant with any cash reconciliation issues or discrepancies.
- Audit requests: provide backup and copies of payments detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to handle a high volume of transactions.
- Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and requests.
- Ability to work in and promote a team environment.
- Effective in both internal and external verbal and written communications
- High School Diploma or GED
