Duties

Responsibilities:
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Information Technology Division is recruiting for a Journey level IT Application Developer. This position is a professional level .NET Web Application Developer responsible for supporting the Agency's critical Web application systems using Web and Cloud development tools and methods. Using independent judgment and advanced knowledge of Web development, modern object-oriented languages and related Web technology, this position works closely with Business Experts to analyze issues, assists with requirements gathering, design, code, test and deploy enhancements and corrections to the software and reports in DNR’s Web application domain. This in turn supports the Division’s mission to provide innovative, sustainable and high-quality information technology solutions and services in support of the Agency’s business programs.

This position supports the ITD mission – “Supporting the agency’s mission, ITD partners with the agency’s business programs to provide innovative, sustainable and high-quality information technology solutions and services.”

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, information systems or related fields. May substitute 7 years of experience for education.
  • Five or more years of recent professional experience designing, programming, and deploying desktop and web-based applications using ASP.NET and C#. Years of experience needed can be gained congruently across different skillsets.
  • Professional level working experience with ASP.NET, C#, AJAX, XHTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript (including JSON, dojo and jQuery), Web Services, PL/SQL and/or T-SQL. Years of experience needed can be gained congruently across different skillsets.
  • Five years’ experience troubleshooting, debugging and providing support on Web applications and Cloud software, using administrative and developer tools, such as Windows Event Viewer, Visual Studio. Years of experience needed can be gained congruently across different skillsets.
  • Three years’ experience with enterprise batch job scheduling or automation software, such as Automic, AppWorx, or Informatica.
  • Three or more years of experience working with UI creation.

Conditions of Employment:
