We are looking for an experienced Applications Scientist in our Analytical Services department to enhance customer satisfaction, build customer relationships, and assist in closing sales through highly effective technical support and consultation.

Essential qualities include:

• MS/PhD. in Chemistry or equivalent analytical lab experience - Emphasis on instrumental analytical chemistry
• Experience both in applications and troubleshooting with GC/MS and LC/MS
• Demonstrated experience in quantitative analysis and method development
• Relevant business/market/product experience
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills

The Applications Scientist’s focus is to:

• Utilize their experience and knowledge in qualitative and quantitative instrumental analysis and methods development to provide primary technical and sales support for GERSTEL products.
• Demonstrate the use of GERSTEL instrumentation as well as analyze customers' samples.
• Plan and execute studies to support the creation of posters, application notes, and oral presentations.
• Evaluate new instrumentation and software and help prepare manuals and technical briefs.
• Develop and conduct customer training courses.
• Provides field support for customers and sales as needed with up to 15% travel.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
