POSITION SUMMARY
Working alongside the Purchased Services Director the Purchased Services Analyst provides support surrounding all operating services. Will perform analysis on purchased services seeking opportunities to derive value, improve margins and align with long term strategy.

Job Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assess customer data (contracts, amendments, and invoices) for completeness
  • Assess the contracted pricing model(s) and develop an appropriate benchmark comparison dataset
  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting of purchased services
  • Help to manage vendor relationships
  • Assure service agreement regulatory requirements keepings facilities healthcare compliant
  • Identify savings opportunity at the service SKU and in aggregate
  • Research and identify relevant Key Performance Indicators and Service Level agreement terms for each purchased services type
  • Identify demand management / optimization opportunities at the category level
  • Aggregate all research into a written deliverable to the member
  • Analyze transactional usage and service data relative to contract
  • Present and defend analysis to members
  • As needed, serve as an on-site resource to advise our clients and manage sourcing projects on their behalf
  • Research trends in purchased services and present on webinars
  • Participate and contribute during team meetings and contribute to special projects as we develop the industry-leading Purchased Services solution for healthcare
  • Maintain a weekly status report for assigned portfolio of work.
  • Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in related field. Experience with profit and loss statements. 1-2 years of experience in healthcare business office operations. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Proficient with Microsoft Excel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or Healthcare Management. 1-2 years of experience in hospital supply chain or purchased services. Experience with contracts, budgeting, and forecasting preferred.
