Job description
Westmont Counseling Center is looking for an associate, AMFT or ASW, to work as a therapist for individuals, teens, families & couples and facilitate groups. We welcome recent graduates. It is a paid position with individual and group supervision. The Associate must be available Tuesdays at 6:00 PM for supervision and staff meetings, but can hold sessions at their convenience. The position will start at less than 10 hours per week but grow steadily with the potential for full time work. Associates will gain experience with insurance and private practice management.
The successful applicant will have a strong sense of social justice and a desire to work with the underserved. Life and professional experience within underserved communities is desired. Candidates should also have counseling experience, the ability to complete notes and reports professionally and on time, and the ability to listen to and empathize with their clients. Professional references required. BBS registration required.
WCC is a non-profit community mental health clinic in South Los Angeles. We serve a clientele that includes victims of sex trafficking and domestic violence and people that are reentering the community after incarceration. We offer groups for people suffering from grief and loss and for those that have been impacted by cancer.
