POSITION PURPOSE:
Our Front end team members are responsible for executing a wide variety of tasks throughout the store, including checking and bagging groceries, and will provide a memorable experience to all our guests. Cashiers are responsible team players and always ready to learn. They work at a fast pace, have a keen eye for safety and will be able to help execute an assortment of duties throughout the store.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must be 18 years of age.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Ability to read, understand and follow through on verbal and written directions
Ability to reliably meet required work schedule and adhere to company attendance policy
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Operate a register and accurately handle guest cash, credit/debit payments and change;
- Able to properly process EBT Food Stamp transactions, WIC purchases, coupons, gift certificates and other means of payment in accordance of local state and federal regulations;
- Assist all guests by being knowledgeable of product in store and resolving complaints as needed;
- Assist with stocking shelves, facing product and cleaning and dusting as needed;
- Maintain safety and sanitation standards throughout the store;
- Adhere to all company policies, health guidelines, as well as local, state and federal regulations.
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Clerks must be present on site to perform essential functions.
- Maintain cleanliness of department.
- Bag guest purchases;
- Stock merchandise in assigned locations;
- Handle damaged or spoiled products and “go backs” according to company policy;
- Adhere to a safe working environment for guests and other team members;
- Perform all department duties according to company policies, procedures and practices;
Friendly and customer service oriented. Interest in food and cooking a plus.
Customer service, restaurant, barista, food service, grocery or similar experience desired
Self-motivated, with a high attention to detail, quality and presentation
Skills to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers
Ability to work independently, effectively manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS –
Standing, Sitting, Lifting + Stocking (Up to 50 lbs.), Pushing, Keyboarding, Telephone Use, Walking, Bending. Some requirements may be modified to accommodate individuals with disabilities.
