BACKGROUND

A fleet of FAA owned, and uniquely equipped Flight Inspection aircraft perform Flight Inspection missions. Aircraft Maintenance, Maintenance Services Group maintains and inspects Flight Inspection Aircraft (FIA) under an approved 14 CFR Part 135 program maintaining Flight Inspection Standards (FIS) aircraft and 14 CFR Part 145 Certificated Repair Station for airframes, powerplants, propellers, radios, instruments, accessories, and specialized services. FIS requires Contractor maintenance technicians to accomplish the goals, mandates, and objectives regarding the number of flight inspection missions per year as defined by the FAA and to complete aircraft maintenance of FAA owned and operated aircraft.

Aircraft include Beechcraft 300s, C90 GTi, Challenger 604s and 605s, and Learjet model 60 aircraft.

First Shift Work Hours are between 0600-1800 MON-FRI: Standard work hours will be an 8-hour day/40-hour week operating MONDAY through FRIDAY 0600-1800 not to exceed 40 hours per workweek. (i.e.,: 0600-1430, 0630-1500, 0700-1730, 0930-1800)

The A&P Lead Mechanic will be based at the Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) Signature Flight Support Suite at 112 Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

This is a full-time five (5) year contract position with full benefits available. Tentative position start date: August 1, 2023.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide onsite Task Lead support for 1st shift to ensure coverage in accordance with the projected work schedule. Supervise upwards of 12 personnel.
  • Provide a daily time and attendance record to the onsite Line Station Supervisor at the beginning and ending of each shift.
  • Establish work goals/objectives and allocate resources to complete the aircraft maintenance and repair workload and priorities efficiently, accurately, on time, and in compliance with the requirements.
  • Resolve all quality assurance deficiencies and/or unacceptable work to bring such issues into compliance with FAA Maintenance Program policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the FAA’s Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) to ensure that all work assignments are performed.
  • Provide A&P Support that includes: maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, replace, modify, install, calibrate, test, evaluate, and ensure air worthiness of all A&P (e.g., skin, engine, brakes, galley, hydraulics, sheet metal, et al) equipment, parts, components, or systems on aircraft.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of a High School Degree
  • Must have a valid Airframe (A) and/or Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate with recent experience as required by Title 14 CFR part 65.83. Per FAA requirements: DoD aircraft experience is not acceptable, because they are not subject to 121/135/145 requirements.
  • Aircraft specific training required: BE300 Initial and CL604/605/640 Initial

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as an aircraft maintenance technician for an FAA certified part 121, 135 or an FAA certified part 145 working repair station working on transport Beechcraft or Bombardier category aircraft.
  • A minimum of 3 years as an aircraft maintenance supervisor for an FAA certified part 121, 135 or an FAA part 145 certified repair station with airworthiness release and Requires Inspection Item (RII) authority, working on transport category aircraft.
