JOB DESCRIPTION:

The primary responsibility of the multi-craft maintenance technician is to perform preventative maintenance and repair all production-related equipment to meet expected production output levels. Candidates should have experience with managing parts inventory and ordering, troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and tools. Candidates should have expert-level experience with fork and scissor lifts and must maintain a clean safe work environment and adhere to safe work practices. Additional responsibilities include general building maintenance throughout the facility as needed.

Mon- Fri. shift hours 1:30 pm – 10:00 PM, occasional weekend work as needed

This position will train on 1st shift until trained and able to move to 2nd shift.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be 18 years of age or older

· Must pass a drug test and submit to a background check

· Must have a high school diploma or GED

· Must be able to give and follow written and oral directions

· Must be able to accomplish set tasks and goals

· Must be willing to work some overtime and weekends

· Able to perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting

· Must have reliable transportation

· Must be able to lift 75 lbs consistently.

· Ability to handle multiple projects

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Ability to function as a team member in a demanding service environment.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

· At least three years of relative experience or training

· Five years of maintenance facility experience (preferred)

· Knowledge of basic construction, plumbing, carpentry & electrical

· Knowledge of general mechanical and electrical principals

· Licensed Forklift Operator (preferred)

· Experience working with hand and power tools preferred

· Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, schematics, specifications, codes and handbooks

· Ability to use various testing devices related to the mechanical trades

· Some knowledge of computers

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Production/Warehouse facility. Exposure to adverse temperatures which may include hot or cold. Physical activities may include lifting, reaching, bending, walking, sitting, standing, pushing, and pulling.

Air Waves is based just north of Columbus, OH at its 65,000-square-foot facility. Each step of the production process – from design through manufacturing – is executed under one roof. This process control allows us to handle major product runs as well as small customer orders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
