Short Description

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant assumes responsibility for outpatients seen in the Cooper Early Intervention Program (EIP). In collaboration with other members of the health care team, strengthens nursing practice and promotes positive health outcomes for patients.

The EIP APP will work closely with infectious diseases and internal medicine physicians to provide primary care for HIV infected adults in the outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the assessment, evaluation, treatment, and education of HIV-infected persons and at-risk individuals, including the provision of women’s care services. The EIP APP will serve as an important member of the multidisciplinary team in the outpatient setting.

Experience Required


2+ years as a RN or APP providing primary medical care in outpatient or inpatient setting is preferred.


Education Requirements


Masters of Science in Nursing or equivalent education as Physician Assistant.


License/Certification Requirements


New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse and Registered Nurse or New Jersey Physician Assistant; American Heart Association BLS certification.


Special Requirements


Scheduled Days / Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
