Basic responsibilities
- Participate in the assessment of cats/kittens prior to entering Adoption Program.
- Coordinate with the Foster coordinator the transition of cats from foster care to the adoption website.
- Monitor emails and phone calls daily.
- Review online adoption applications and respond to potential adopters in a timely manner.
- Arrange a Facetime/or phone call with potential adopter and foster parent.
- Arrange cat meetups at office when required.
- Process and screen all adoption applications.
- Call potential adopters to arrange adoption meet ups in foster home or on site with Adoption Coordinator.
- Review online adoption process with adopters prior to meetups.
- Process all adoptions with adopters.
- Process online adoption flow including payment link, adoption contract, health records, microchip information and adoption packet.
- Arrange for pick up day and time with foster parent and adopter.
- Share responsibility with organization in maintaining health records using our shelter management software.
- Assist in gathering adoption bios and pics of foster cats/kittens for adoption websites and manage data upload to our database.
- Upload videos to YouTube to add to bio for cat/kittens on website.
- Organize and run adoption events (at office and other locations).
- Participate in weekly foster clinics by inputting all treatments and vaccines into shelter software.
Skills
- A love and appreciation for cats
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
- Organized and self-motivated
- Able to work independently as well as with others.
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Feline health/medical knowledge a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication are a must.
- Very comfortable with technology.
Supervision
- The Adoption Coordinator reports to the Adoption and Foster Programs Manager
