Position Purpose:

The Admissions Counseling Supervisor primarily serves to usher unity amongst the Admissions Counselors to execute the vision of the Director of Admissions. This role has the inspiring opportunity to coach, mentor, and build up the Admissions team to assist prospective Charis Bible College students with a spirit of excellence, professionalism, and proficiency. This position will not only cast the Director of Admissions and Senior Director of Enrollments vision to the counselors for day-to-day interactions with prospective students but also implement practical solutions and delegations necessary for an excellent admissions & student experience.

Essential Duties:

  • Direct oversight of all Admissions Counselors.
  • Cultivate a culture that is focused on the student experience and Admissions best practices.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate the Admissions Counselors for successful interactions with prospective students. This can include developing and ensuring appropriate skillsets are present, such as improving conversational proficiency on the phone, record-keeping maintenance, encouraging applicants in their next steps, and competence in any other day-to-day operational management.
  • Assist in building and expanding the Admissions process for the One Charis model.
  • Provide regular performance reviews and feedback sessions for the Admissions team to ensure that each one is developed to meet their professional goals.
  • Provide input and execute admissions strategies and goals.
  • Build training manuals, establish appropriate quality assurance control processes, and execute policy and procedures consistently across the board to ensure that every prospective student receives an excellent experience.
  • Maintain industry standard knowledge around the best Admissions practices, tailoring that knowledge to the specific identity of Charis Bible College to ensure that all training materials, call flows, scripting, documentation, and overall workflows align accordingly.
  • Work harmoniously and effectively communicate with other Charis teams in an integral, humble, and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of all aspects of Charis Bible College, AWMI, and the Word of God.
  • Results and customer service oriented, with outstanding professionalism.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and phone communication.
  • Fluidity in working in a dynamic, diverse, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional listening and problem-solving analysis with proper etiquette.
  • Effective time management, organization, and administration with thorough attention to detail.
  • Encouraging and humble superintendence in a complex and collaborative team environment.
  • Strong vision casting and inspirational leadership for Admissions Counselors to engage and assist prospective students with consistent effectiveness.
  • Proven ability to appropriately prioritize and accomplish simultaneous objectives, recognizing and leveraging the skills of others to accomplish them promptly.
  • Proven ability to effectively implement processes & systems with a team.
  • Competent and productive interaction with upper management, handling a high level of accountability.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Professionalism and diplomacy in communications with various cultures and diversities.
  • Proficiency with computers and documentation utilizing Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Maintenance of industry-standard knowledge of student Admissions practices.

Requirements:

  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • Charis Bible College student or graduate is strongly preferred.
  • An associate degree or equivalent education is a plus.
  • Must pass all required checks.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year in a supervisory customer service role is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of leading a team in a professional environment is preferred.
  • Experience working in admissions, higher education, or sales is preferred.
  • Training and quality assurance experience are preferred.
  • Call center experience is desirable.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
