The Admissions/Marketing Coordinator is responsible for promoting the services of the facility to generate inquiries, gathering and communicating information necessary for the interdisciplinary team to determine appropriate admissions. The Admissions/Marketing Coordinator is under the supervision of the administrator.

Policies: The Admissions/Marketing Coordinator shall know the policies and procedures of the facility and be prepared to follow them throughout their daily routine.

1. Promote facility services, including nursing and therapy services.

2. Conduct facility tours when in the facility or by appointment.

3. Develop and document the results from monthly community education/awareness programs. Promote community education/awareness presentations in the facility. Participate in local events and with organizations such as Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Lion’s Club, etc.

4. Participate in morning department head meeting by providing the team information regarding admission/readmission information and upcoming promotional activities, community education/awareness programs.

5. Initiate the Inquiry Packet.

6. Obtain necessary medical information and inquiry packet information for the Director of Nursing (DON) to determine medical necessity and communicate findings to the Admission team in a timely manner. The admission team consists of the following: Administrator, Business Office Manager, DON, and Social Worker.

7. Obtain financial information for the Business Office Manager (BOM) who will then verify and communicate the benefits to the Admission Team in a timely manner.

8. Notify the referral source after receiving written acceptance or denial of the inquiry by the administrator.

9. Communicate acceptance or denial to the referral source within 2 hours of receiving the inquiry.

10. The Admissions/Marketing Coordinatorwill NOT accept or deny any admission; confirm or deny any payor source or perform room assignments.1. The Admissions/Marketing Coordinator/assigned team member (facility specific) will complete the admission packet prior to the admission.

11. Communicate with housekeeping, maintenance and central supply the pending admission room assignment. The Admissions/Marketing Coordinatorwill confirm with housekeeping, maintenance and central supply when the room will be available for the pending admission.

12. Document follow up on all potential inquiries and all hospitalized residents/family/discharge planner on a daily basis.

13. Maintain a referral binder. Referral source binder will have a section for new referral sources documented on a monthly basis.

14. Assist in developing a strategic marketing plan.The marketing plan will include weekly inservices. Weekly inservices must be documented and have a sign in sheet.

15. May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.

16. Actively assist and participate in the enhancement of the lives of our resident through; our dedicated approach to patient care and our census building program.

17. Actively assist and participate in the development and retention of staff through recruitment, training and nurturing of the employee of the facility.

18. Provide the administrator, regional vice president and regional admission/marketing coordinator a weekly planner with detailed accomplishments, inservices and contacts.

19. Other duties as assigned by Administrator or Regional Admissions/Marketing Coordinator.

Job Types: Full-time, PRN

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
