Three Links is a progressive health care provider for older adults in the Northfield area. Located just south of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, the campus includes Skilled Nursing, Respite Care, Memory Care, End of Life Care, Assisted Living, Independent Living, as well as home health services to the greater community.


As a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the State of Minnesota, this position is responsible to role model the mission, vision, and values of Three Links. The administrator reports to the CEO and is accountable in directing the day-to-day functions of the skilled care environment in accordance with current regulations, policies of the organization, and quality standards. This position provides oversight, management of the budget and ensures strategic goals of the skilled environment are being met.


Administrator Maximum Hiring Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing Home Administration
  • licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the State of Minnesota
  • 3-5 years of long term care administrator experience
  • Ability to actively relate to the staff, board and community
  • Strong leadership, human relations, & communication skills.

Education

  • Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Nursing Home Administration and licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the State of Minnesota.

Knowledge:

  • Ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to communicate with and motivate employees with diverse ages and backgrounds; knowledge and understanding of state and federal regulations regarding each service time being provided throughout the organization.

Special abilities/Training:

  • Prefer a strong financial background with general knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and other payment sources for skilled care. Licensed in the State of Minnesota as a Nursing Home Administrator.

Administrator Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing, updating and articulating the community vision/strategic plan in response to the needs of the community.
  • Promoting and evidencing the integration of mission and values in all areas of operational management, communications and public relations.
  • Managing the selection, training, development and performance of the management team to retain a professional, motivated workforce.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive associate relations to position the facility as the employer of choice within the community.
  • Monitoring all financial operations to ensure utilization of facility resources in a fiscally responsible manner so as to ensure the organization's long term sustained success in the future.
  • Implementing and overseeing total quality management processes and principles within the community to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and assuring compliance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Securing and/or implementing necessary/required consulting contracts, Medical Director and other independent contractors.

Administrator Miscellaneous Responsibilities:

  • Excellent communication and documentation practices.
  • Conduct follows expectations and professional standards, performing all work alcohol and drug free.
  • Follows organization's infection control procedures, including using appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment); demonstrates consistent and appropriate hand-washing techniques. Follows procedure for employee illness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: Is tolerant of others' work styles and works with team members, supervisor and others in a helpful, respectful, courteous and effective manner. Respects and encourages diversity in the workplace. Resolves interpersonal conflict with co-workers directly and privately and seeks assistance as necessary.
  • Meets organization's hygiene, dress code and appearance standards.
  • Maintains any required certification/license required by the state or the organization.
  • Communicates as necessary changes, issues and concerns to families, staff and members of the medical community.
  • Assures resident rights are protected and that all residents, families/significant others are made away of resident rights. Implements and ensures privacy compliance.
  • Maintains safe work practices and follows organization's safety procedures; includes checking equipment before use, operating equipment safely and following safe and proper techniques for chemical/cleaning solution use; and follows organization's emergency procedures.

The specific role of the Administrator is to provide overall leadership which integrates, affirms and advances the organization's Mission, Vision, and Four Cornerstones. Demonstrates what is expected of others. Available to meet with residents, family members, and staff. Follows through with promises and commitment. Is honest and collaborative. Inspires others by sharing the vision and goals of the organization.
