In this role you will ensure the smooth running of the office by leading the management and co-ordination of all written and electronic correspondence for Force Crime / Force Intelligence OCUs to ensure work is prioritised effectively and appropriate action is taken for: documentation, reports, correspondence, complaints, penalty notices and all other enquiries. Ensure all procurement and penalty notices are processed in line with Force guidelines.

You will be responsible for Co-ordinating both Heads of Department’s engagements, diary commitments and ensure relevant supporting material is prepared and available. Prepare files and other papers for meetings, review actions, obtain background papers and other appropriate information, attend meetings, taking accurate and confidential minutes, then prepare and distribute them. Plan short, medium and long term in response to developing events/priorities whilst organising departmental conferences when required. Manage the Heads of Department commendations process and other ceremony related commitments.

The successful candidate will deal and manage the complaints they receive within their portfolios, to liaise directly with PSD and the OIC involved to ensure they are dealt with in a swift manner. Maintain and organise the Head of Department Good Work processes they have in support with the ASA role. You will create reports, briefings and presentations when tasked by any Head of Department. Ensure relevant policies / procedures are updated when required to ensure accurate information is readily available (e.g. OCU risk management logs).

Along with all other posts in Force Crime, Intelligence and Specialist Operations Departments, this role will require an enhanced level of vetting.
