Position and Salary

The Attorney General’s Office is recruiting for a permanent full time Administrative Services Manager in the General Services Division. This position is located in Olympia, WA. This position is represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE).

Salary:
Administrative Services Manager B Salary Range 51: $50,592 - $68,076
The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the preferred candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If a position is designated as requiring dual language skills, incumbents will also receive a 5% Dual Language Requirement Pay stipend.
The Position:
The General Services (GSE) division is looking for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to join our Olympia team as an Administrative Services Manager (ASM). This position oversees reception, production, mail and facility support services and is not eligible for scheduled, recurring telework. Duties

This position is the Lead Support for the Olympia GSE division, which is located in two office locations. In this position, the ASM works closely with the GSE Administrator to develop and implement all operational policies and procedures. The position has overall responsibility for the Olympia team and collaborates with counterparts in Seattle and Tumwater to ensure consistent practices.

The ASM oversees and conducts training for new personnel; ensuring staff are cross-trained between reception and production duties. The incumbent will be required to understand and develop working knowledge of day-to-day tasks, in order to support the team in times of short staffing. This position directly supervises three Legal Office Assistants and one Office Support Supervisor.

Additionally, the ASM oversees facilities, janitorial and safety for the Olympia buildings. Ensures the implementation and training for all safety related building protocols. Is the primary contact for all building facility items including, interacting with the property owner and vendors on all maintenance related items. The ASM manages the building’s security system and is the first point of contact for any after-hours alarms.

Perform other duties and projects as may be required.


Qualifications

To qualify for Administrative Services Manager B:

Bachelor's degree plus two years of related full-time administrative and/or supervisory experience. Additional administrative or supervisory experience may substitute, year-for-year, for educational requirements.

Per AGO Policy, employees and volunteers of the AGO must be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment. Being fully vaccinated means that an individual is at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Effective March 14, 2022, the AGO announced pursuant to its policy, that employees and volunteers must also receive a booster shot as a condition of employment. Employees or volunteers who are not eligible to receive the booster before their start date, due to required waiting times after receiving their initial vaccine(s), must provide confirmation of the vaccine type and date received so the AGO can calculate the date by which they must receive the booster. If you are selected to serve within the AGO as an employee or volunteer, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination and booster (if already received) before you are able to begin work. You may request an accommodation if you are unable to meet the requirement due to a medical or religious necessity.
