Nature of Work

The Incumbent Administrative Services Assistant 1, will serve as an integral member of the West Virginia Birth to Three (WV BTT) team. Receives requests for and assign interpreters for families. Notify interpreters of due dates for invoices, and receive and process invoices from interpreters Receive and process requests for Assistive Technology from local WV Birth to Three teams. Issue authorizations for approved Assistive Technology equipment. Receive and process invoices for Assistive Technology equipment. Maintain historic reference to all approved assistive technology.

Incumbent will receive and process override requests from local WV Birth to Three practitioners with Gainwell Technologies. Prepare and send legal notices to enrolled WV Birth to Three providers, including as requested from WV Birth to Three team members. Will maintain electronic records of all requests/authorizations/invoices/payments. Incumbent will update and maintain WV Birth to Three forms in electronic format. Will perform other duties as assigned.

This position will cover counties Statewide.

Minimum Qualifications

Training: Graduation from an accredited college or university. Preference may be given to candidates with a major in the area of public or business administration, accounting, industrial relations, communications or related field.

Substitution: Additional qualifying experience as described below may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required training.
Experience: One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid employment in a technical or advanced clerical position providing administrative services such as accounting, budgeting, project monitoring and reporting, personnel, or procurement and property. Experience must have been at the Office Assistant 3 or Accounting Technician 3 level or higher.
Substitution: Successful completion of graduate study in an accredited college or university in one of the above fields may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
