Position Description and Goals
The Staff Assistant assists with special projects, reports, analysis, or other project assignments that require an in-depth knowledge of IEDC policies, procedures, and technical work processes for two departments at IEDC, the Knowledge, Management and Development (KMD) and Member Services Department.

Areas of Responsibility
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Partnerships, Advisory Services, and Thought Leadership Department

  • Research and collect financial, statistical, technical, and specialized data.
  • Assist with the compilation and completion of time-sensitive reports.
  • Analyze and enter data into databases, spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Assist with member/customer/volunteer management.
  • Assist leadership with electronic correspondence.
  • Book travel for volunteers.
  • Other project work as assigned.

Member Services Department

  • Assist with publication and training manual orders that come through IEDC’s website.
  • Receive and process job listing ads that come through IEDC’s website.
  • Support database integrity with thorough and frequent updates
  • Database Maintenance/IMIS Assure the accurate and timely maintenance of member/non-member records.
  • Assist the membership team with electronic correspondence.
  • Support other membership projects as determined in support of membership program objectives.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an administrative coordinator or other role, preferably in the not-for-profit or association sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; additional 2 years’ experience acceptable in lieu of education requirement.
  • Experience with Airtable and iMIS is a plus, but willingness to learn is necessary.
  • Customer service experience is necessary, preferably in an association or membership development context.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask while maintaining careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills are required.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, database access and electronic research.
  • Some overnight, out-of-town travel is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
