ADGA Software Project Manager Job

The American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) is a United States not-for-profit corporation dedicated to dairy goats. Its purpose is to promote the dairy goat industry, through provision of pedigrees and related services including genetic improvement programs, management services, publication of milk production records and promotional activities. The office is based in Spindale, North Carolina.

American Dairy Goat Association is looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a software project manager. The responsibilities of the software project manager include overseeing our software development and implementation from current status to finish, managing and motivating software developers and other team members, and writing project analyses & additional proposals.

The project manager will lead and proactively manage, communicate and collaborate with product owners, data engineers, stakeholders, developers, QA support, and other team members to analyze information and functional requirements, advocate the development process through to implementation, enforce sprint discipline and deadlines, develop and ensure the delivered product meets business needs.

Work typically consists of 80%-time contribution towards project leadership and 20% as a technical contributor.

To be successful in this role, you should have a good working knowledge of project estimation techniques and the ability to plan reasonable timelines for projects based on available resources, scope, quality and budget. You will need to communicate proactively throughout the project lifecycle withcross-departmental stakeholders to track and report progress, ensuring necessary changes are made to project plans that would prevent completion within defined timelines.

Project Reports to: ADGA Chief Executive Officer/ADGA Executive Committee
Direct Communication: Director of IT and Operations

Duration: One year minimum, potential to convert to employment

Education & Experience

A bachelor's degree in information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.

At least 5-8 years in a clearly defined Project Management role including supervision of inhouse and outsourced IT personnel

1-2 years experienced managing a deployment of a highly complex software package

Experience with Azure DevOps, SPA, MS SQL Server, C#, .NET Entity Framework LINQ

Certifications and Licenses

Project Management Professional (PMP) certified, completion of a Project Management Certificate program, or similar certification in process.

Work Location: 80% remote/20% onsite

Salary: 110-120 FTE converted to up to 40/hrs per week

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
