Shift: 7:30am-4:30pm with hour lunch; Monday-Friday, some evening/weekend availability
Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour; higher rates are available for experienced applicants!
Role: Assists in the creation, planning and implementation of the Connections program - the daily activities for our residents. You will ensure the maximum levels of resident leisure contentment, as well as physical, mental, and psychological well being.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating of the Connections activity program for the community.
Assist in the planning and posting of a monthly calendar of events, monthly newsletter and coordination of special events and programs.
Works closely with Wellness Associates for the implementation of Connections activity programs.
Works at a designated workstation, throughout the community and its premises.
Moves intermittently during working hours.
Movement includes, but is not limited to standing, walking, sitting, pulling, lifting, reaching, carrying, pushing, climbing, kneeling, stooping, and twisting. Is subject to frequent interruptions.
Requirements:
High School Diploma (Required)
Previous experience in healthcare or service related setting (Preferred)
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.
Certification in CPR and First Aid
