Presbyterian Homes and Services of Kentucky is looking for part-time activity assistants for our Helmwood community in Elizabethtown.

Activity Assistant Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to work flexible hours on a part time basis, with energy and enthusiasm
• Ability to establish positive relationships with residents, family members and staff
• Ability to communicate orally and/or in writing with residents, families, staff and the public
• Previous Activities experience, preferred not required

Activity Assistant Responsibilities:

• Conducts individual and group activities with residents, following the direction of the Director of Community Life
• Meets with new residents as assigned, to determine interests, needs
• Prepares for activities; secures supplies, equipment, space, leadership and conducts as indicated
• Refers residents with special needs and/or problems to appropriate staff members
• Maintains appropriate records regarding resident activities
• Assists in planning, conducting employee functions as requested
