Job description

Position Summary: Responsible for leading the Accounts Receivable function and team. Provide oversight of payment processing, bank reconciliation, credit card and ACH processes and outcomes. Oversee AR policies and procedures, including billing. Identify and provide solutions for reporting cash, documentation, manage system recommendations and all billing practices. Oversee the monthly billing and reporting process.

Key Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable reporting 50%
  • Responsible for ensuring processes align with proper timing and application of revenue recognition rules.
  • Providing supervision over central billing and revenue reporting for all product lines. Investigates escalated billing inquiries and inaccuracies and takes appropriate action to resolve.
  • Handle sensitive client negotiations; Independently resolve internal and external client problems, Internal and external audit projects
  • Evaluate and advise on an appropriate system of policies and procedures for accurate revenue reporting. Including review and approve all billing adjustments, money moves, invoice moves, write offs, and system adjustments.
  • Assists the ARR Manager with the daily operations including work assignments, staff productivity, training, and development of staff members 20%
  • Team Development/Leadership 20%
  • Will have direct supervisory responsibility of the accounts receivable and billing processing staff.
  • Manage workload distribution for team
  • Work to help create a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
  • Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development.
  • Work with ARR manager to monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments.
  • Aid in mentoring and developing staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned 10%

Education & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance, required.
  • At least 3-5 years of overall Accounts Receivable experience required.
  • Supervisory or managerial experience required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Technology savvy with experience working across multiple software applications; knowledge of accounting and reporting software.

Experience / Skills / Abilities:

  • Ideal experience to include prior accounts receivable knowledge.
  • A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision making
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in identifying opportunities to maximize efficiencies.

Supervisory Responsibility: Direct-4-6

Communication & Contacts (Internal/External): Internal communications with employees, co-workers, cross departmental functions, etc. via email, phone and in-person.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions: Position is located in Mountville, PA. Travel is none to rare.
