This is a In-Person position out of our Corporate Offices in Jacksonville, FL with the potential to be Hybrid.
The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee two AP Specialists, and is ultimately responsible for the payment of goods and services purchased by the organization. This role also serves as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed for the purchasing and payment of goods and services. This is a very hands-on role that works closely alongside the AP processors, and serves as a processor themselves. This is not strictly a management position.
- Responsible for the processing of checks, debit memos, and report processing.
- Responsible for invoice matching and entry and follow-through on the entire A/P process.
- Work with the team to process up to 2500 invoices monthly.
- Work closely with the Controller to manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensures accuracy of financial statements.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software, Great Plains preferred.
- 4+ years of previous AP experience preferred; 1+ year in a full-cycle accounts payable team lead role.
- Excellent teamwork skills, a positive attitude, and get-it-done mentality required!
- Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
- Strong knowledge of Excel/MS Office.
- Multitasking and task prioritization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; Excellent interpersonal skills required.
