Addison Group Los Angeles seeks an Accounts Payable (AP) Supervisor to join a non-profit organization located in Downtown Los Angeles on direct hire basis.
Job - This Accounts Payable (A/P) Supervisor will be approving entries made by AP Specialists and managing the AP Process. The AP Supervisor will also set up new vendor accountants and maintain the vendor database.
Job Site Status (onsite/hybrid/remote) – Our client has an onsite site policy. The hired person must have taken the COVID vaccine.

Compensation/Benefits – Salary range starts at $65,000/year and ends at $78,000/year.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SUPERVISOR
Accounts Payable (A/P)
- Lead all areas of the Accounts Payable process, including vendor payments and expense reimbursements
- Supervise the month-end (M/E) closing process in all matters Accounts Payable, including Journal Entries, Accruals, and Account Reconciliations
- Ensure the A/P staff impeccably matches, batches, and codes all invoices to ensure the most efficient 3-way matching A/P procedure for the company
- Approve all A/P entries
- Engage in dispute resolution regarding billing
- Verify payment of invoices with vendors
- Evaluate all disputed payment issues with all relevant vendors
- Communicate with all appropriate managers on all invoice approvals
Accounts Payable Optimization Process
- Set Up and manage all vendor contracts
- Streamline all A/P processes
- Evaluate all disputed payment issues with all relevant vendors to improve dispute resolution process
Miscellaneous
- Furnish all information requested by auditors
- Accept all ad-hoc projects as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SUPERVISOR
Required
- At least four (4) years of Accounts Payable experience
- Knowledge of GAAP
- High School Diploma
Preferred
- BA in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, and IF formulas)
