Accounts Payable Manager

Essential Function
Responsible for the production, quality and internal controls of the corporate centralized Accounts Payable functions of the Sally Beauty Holdings USA operations.

Primary Duties

• Ensures internal controls are in place and tested periodically.
• Administers quality control assurance program for evaluating departmental output and regulatory filings.
• Through the efforts of the supervisors oversees the various production cycles of accounts payable from invoice entry through the disbursement process, including vendor management.
• Assists the director in the implementation of improved technology and automation.
• Serves as department representative on multi-departmental initiatives, including system or application upgrades.
• Develops management skills of direct reports, identified as five supervisors.
• Evaluates feedback of post A/P third party services for opportunities for improved processing.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 5+ years of accounting, finance or relevant business experience
• CAPP designation preferred
• Experience in leadership of work teams
• Lawson Software experience plus

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
