WHY WENDY'S
- Provide strategic focus to the Accounts Payable team by setting direction, aligning individual staff goals to Accounting Department priorities and objectives, making related process improvements, and holding staff accountable. Manage, coach, and develop staff into a high performing team. Foster an environment of continuous improvement. Create and monitor performance indicators that measure staff’s performance.
- Manage the activities of the Accounts Payable team, including to ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, annual 1099 reporting, and supporting related processes and interfaces. As the Accounts Payable process owner, direct the testing and approval of software upgrades and enhancements in cooperation with IT staff. This includes ownership of 3rd party system vendor relationship.
- Manage employee expense reporting process, corporate travel card program and travel policy. This includes ownership of Concur system and related vendor relationship.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders including Field Operations teams, Finance, Treasury, IT, Development, internal and external audit teams, and various other departments.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes of the Accounts Payable team including the review of account reconciliations, schedules, reports, flux analysis, and any other ad hoc requested by management, audit, or other departments. Ensure proper adherence to all related internal controls and SOX controls.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-7 years of previous accounts payable and management experience with progressive responsibility
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with a variety of individuals including internal and external customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and shift priorities
- Ability to interpret and analyze data and make recommendations based on findings
- Detail oriented with strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead all activities including planning, organizing, and managing workload, projects, and activities for the team
Travel: 5%
Pay Range: $81,000 - $142,000 Annually
