The Accounting Specialist position provides accounting and clerical support to the accounting and construction departments. Organizes and manages processes and maintains documentation in support of the construction department.

Schedule: M-F, 8am-5pm

Duties:

• Inputs, researches and reconciles data in the automated software system (JDE) to ensure accurate accounting records and accurate financial reporting.
• Creates and distributes weekly and monthly financial reports and analysis.
• Keeps staff informed of department activities, upcoming projects and issues.
• May perform basic accounts payable and accounts receivable duties as needed.
• Work with other departments to meet the needs of the construction department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED and 2-4 years accounting experience is required.
• Construction accounting experience a plus.
• Time Management Skills.
• Multi-tasking skills.
• Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Previous experience working in JD Edwards accounting software a plus.
• Must have attention to detail and have accurate work.
