Location: 13033 Trautwein Rd, Austin, TX 78737 (near Dripping Springs, TX): onsite/hybrid: this position is an onsite position and offers the potential for some limited flex/hybrid work arrangement

POSITION OVERVIEW:

• Prepare journal entries
• Complete general ledger operations, to include as instructed by controller
• Monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
• Monitor access to general ledger for site ERP users
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts monthly
• Draw up monthly financial reports
• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
• Assist with year-end closings
• Prepare tax computations and returns
• Prepare budgets and forecasts
• Monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences
• Account/bank/credit card reconciliations
• Process approved expense reports
• Fixed Asset management (set up, depreciation, disposal) in SAGE and processing any related journal entries
• Assist in ERP entries as needed, including routine system-generated accruals, setting up new customers/vendors, processing bill payments
• Maintain payee information in bank website for electronic payments
• Deposit funds received on site at the local bank branch
• Assist in timesheet validation for payroll as needed
• Prepare and submit the monthly sales and use tax returns
• Collaborate with Site Leadership for annual budgeting and routine forecasting
• Assist Group Controller with Corporate Financial Compliance as needed
• Provide business support for other business functions as directed by Site Leadership or Group Controller.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education in accounting; minimum of five years’ progressively responsible, relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing or costing environment with general ledger responsibility through preparation of financial statements.
• Knowledge of finance principles
• Knowledge of financial reporting
• Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation
• Understanding of Inventory principles and related cost analysis
• Strong technical accounting and financial planning analysis skills, coupled with a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, SOX compliance, appropriate internal controls and best practices in accounting and financial processes and procedures.
• Previous experience of general accounting in a manufacturing environment required
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software/strong Excel software skills
• Experience in a job costing environment preferred
• Experience in an ERP system
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and accurately follow through on work activities with time constraints and interruptions to meet deadlines as well as to work independently with a minimum amount of direction and/or supervision.
