Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Salary: $55400 - $73400 / year

Responsibilities

• Manages the accounting function at the business unit, including direct supervision of business unit accounting and cash room associates and the management, creation, review, and approval of accounting reports.
• Manages the business unit accounting team in the administration of internal controls and audits of policies and procedures to ensure compliance and high-quality delivery of all services.
• Translates strategy into operational goals and objectives and then executes against those strategies and standards.
• Manages the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes for the business unit.
• Effectively manages the business unit finance and accounting associates by providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring and administering annual performance reviews for direct reports.
• Supports annual plan and projection process for business unit, provides insightful review of year-over-year changes and recommends areas of focus to improve operating margins.
• Leads or assists with ad hoc analyses of the finances and prepares reports to facilitate decision making.
• Collaborate with other teams, functions, and data owners across the company to align on process and data issues and to ensure any required changes to policies, procedures, and processes are implemented.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or Associate degree in business related curriculum with relevant prior accounting experience.
• 3+ years of accounting experience including previous cash management, inventory control and auditing experience a plus.
• Hospitality industry experience highly preferred.
• Deep understanding of finance and accounting processes.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Expertise in driving continuous improvement and business process management.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office and PeopleSoft Financials or similar accounting software.
• Understanding of how to drive effective performance management.
• Facilitation, detailed collaboration, and effective communication.
