The Estates at Carpenters is a not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in North Lakeland, FL for over 30 years! We are currently seeking an experienced, thoughtful, diligent, and highly motivated Accounting Manager for our Continuing Care Retirement Community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Accounts Payable, review weekly invoices to ensure that all invoices are paid accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable invoicing to Residents. Review cash management and posting of cash receipts, wire transfers and ACHs.
  • Manage end of month finance reporting for General Ledger/Budgeting.
  • Manage Medical billing and insurance verification/authorizations.
  • Manage bi-weekly Payroll process for staff, including timesheet review and processing, and paid time off tracking

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree with three years of accounting experience required or five years of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Project accounting, cost reporting knowledge strongly preferred
  • The ability to read, organize, and analyze data using MS Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to residents, responsible parties, and vendors
  • Demonstrated experience with automated payroll systems
  • Highly competent in computer skills, familiar with Microsoft suite software
  • Must be able to analyze and troubleshoot accounting issues
  • Desire to work in a collaborative environment and solicit and give constructive feedback
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities and new technologies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
