Job description
We are searching for an Accounting Manager that is extremely detailed, exhibits a high sense of accountability for workload, and enjoys process improvement and management. The right candidate will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, is a self-motivated individual who can actively engage and lead the accounting team.
*Key Responsibilities:*
  • Core Accounting: Maintain books and records for corporate entities. Assist in completing month end close entries and balance sheet account reconciliations/analytics
  • Business Process: Fully document current process and procedures and work closely with the Controller and CFO to set the path for continued growth
  • Administration of Nexonia Expense System: Key personnel support contact for Nexonia. Delivers Nexonia training for newly hired administrators and partners with Nexonia support to resolve issues
  • Primary ERP champion: Lead training sessions for team members in Sage Intacct, champion the use of the system and improvement of system-based processes.

*Essential Job Duties:*
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all accounting functions for transaction management, financial reporting, and general ledger structure
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
  • Provide support as needed to accounting staff to support overall department goals and objectives
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Respond to inquiries from the Controller about financial results and special reporting requests
  • Ensure the general ledger is completed accurately and timely to ensure financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Review of expenses incurred on behalf of multiple entities and process charge backs and transfers
  • Prepare requested information for annual external assurance process
  • Mentor team members and lead core group during change processes

*Other Duties and Responsibilities:*
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
  • Support the Controller with special projects and process improvements
  • Actively support company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
  • Attention to detail including accuracy in reporting and strong analytical skills
  • Proficient within a Windows environment, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications Word, Power Point, Outlook and Teams
  • Excellent communication skills; written, and verbal
  • Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced growing organization
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations

*Minimum Qualifications:*
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Required: 7+ years of accounting experience OR a master’s degree in Accounting or Business
  • Required: Proficiency in all Microsoft applications
  • Preferred: CPA eligible; CMA eligible/active

Pay
: $70,000- $77,500.00 per year
