Paint Prepper

We are looking for a Paint Prepper for a high volume body shop. A Paint Prepper works directly with the Paint Technicians to prepare vehicles for the painting process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assigned vehicles for refinishing and reassembly processes
• Prime and edge vehicle and replacement parts
• Prep and test paint to determine blend needs and ensure matching
• Coordinate and communicate with Paint Technicians and Production Specialists to ensure continuous workflow, and reports any issues
• Keep tools and equipment in good working order
• Utilize all PPE for health and safety reasons
• Reliable attendance

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma
• Knowledge of manufacturers' repair/refinishing process
• Valid driver's license that meets insurability requirements
• Demonstrated desire for continuous process improvement and commitment to professional development opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

• Auto Body Vocational/Technical certificate
• ABRA Auto Body experience and/or familiarity with ABRA processes

The pay range for this position is $18-22 per hour, DOQ

The hours of work are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a negotiable start time, for 40-hours per week.
