Job description

Grand Street is a young adult townhouse located in Danbury. It is a 3-floor condominium with an open floor plan. We currently have 3 young ladies in their 20’s who live here. Each lady lives on a different floor and has their own bedroom as well as bathroom. Staff are on site 24/7 and can range from 1 or 2 staff on at a time. The ladies enjoy being pampered by getting their hair and nails done. They also enjoy shopping, going out to eat with their friends as well as playing card/board games. Uno is a household favorite. The ladies work part time and/or full time jobs in the community as well as full time school for 2 of them. Our individuals are learning skills to gain independence to someday live on their own or in a more independent setting. All of our individuals have earned free time in the home and can utilize that when they’d like some alone time. Staff help assist and role model positive behavior as well as daily life skills.

1st shift: Staff transport individuals to necessary medical appointments, volunteer sites and to work. Staff help support and prompt the individuals to complete their daily responsibilities. Staff help engage the individuals in activities and exercise. Staff perform visual checks every 30 minutes to ensure safety and location of the individuals.

2nd shift: Staff transport the individuals to any necessary appointments and job sites. Staff help support and prompt the individuals to complete their daily responsibilities. Staff help cook a balanced dinner with the individuals they are working with. Staff engage the individuals in community activities as well as activities in the house.

3rd shift: This is only an awake shift at this home. Staff are responsible for completing deep cleaning of the house during this shift. Staff will also perform visual checks hourly during the overnight shift.
