Camp Tevya (co-ed, Brookline, NH), was founded in 1940 as a Jewish residential camp. We welcome staff and campers from diverse backgrounds. Tevya is all about embracing relationships and building community, spreading spirit throughout camp, and making differences in our campers.
Head of Nature – Day Positions Considered
Great Leadership Opportunities for Outdoor Educators and Those with a Passion for the Outdoors
Contract Dates: June 19, 2023 to August 18, 2023
Located in Brookline, New Hampshire
Responsibilities for Head of Nature:
- Oversees campcraft/nature program including instruction in outdoor living, hiking, orienteering, first aid, the environment, camping, animal care
- Coordinates outdoor life experience at campsites including all preparations and details; supervise, guide and evaluate campcraft/nature counselors
Qualifications:
- 1 – 3 year’s experience as head of campcraft/nature or outdoor living program at a day or residential camp
- Outdoor living skills including campsite preparation, orienteering, hiking, outdoor survival skills, etc.
- Passion for work with children and the living experience
- Bachelor degree in education, outdoor education, recreation, preferred

Experience:
- After-School & Camp Counselors: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
