Job description
St. Philip Neri School is seeking a highly skilled individual to serve as Technology Director for the 2023-24 School Year. This individual will be responsible for the overall development, coordination and implementation of St. Philip Neri School's technology. The Director of Technology will provide technical expertise for all network users in the areas of training and problem resolution for hardware, software and databases. St. Philip Neri School offers a 1:1 Chromebook program for Grades 1-8. This is a 12-month position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership in the identification, assessment and management of technology needs for the school
- Contribute to the integration of educational technology into classrooms, library and system offices by providing professional leadership in all areas of technology planning and technology resource management
- Promote the use of technology to support student achievement in the PK - 8 classroom and provide technology instruction for students in PK -8 grades
- Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum and technology integration projects
- Manage school infrastructure, including ISP, Firewall, Content Filtering, Switching, Wireless Networks and Wired Networks
- Maintain the inventory and operational status of end user devices (including devices on the Android, Chrome, iOS, Linux, and Windows platforms
- Manage network security. Manage PowerSchool
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with concentration in Education/Information Technology preferred
- Practicing Catholic preferred
- Familiarity with current educational technologies including: iPads, Chromebooks, GSuite for Education and interactive whiteboards/TV
- Knowledge of current trends in technology and instructional technology
