Who We Are:
Job Title: Senior Nutrition Coach
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Athletic & Personal Development (APD)
Position Summary: To provide world class nutrition services in order to help IMG athletes and clients maximize performance through nutrition as well as assisting with leadership within the Nutrition department.
Position Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head of Nutrition with company-wide initiatives, APD specific vision, Nutrition department philosophy, and day to day operations for Nutrition
  • Assist Head of Nutrition with hiring, on-boarding, and the professional development of nutrition staff
  • Design evidenced-based and practical nutrition plans to safely meet clients’ goals
  • Deliver 1:1 and group sessions for full-time student-athletes, camp athletes, professional athletes, and outside groups, as indicated.
  • Promote the value of nutrition for performance to sports, coaches, and athletes on campus
  • Tailor message accordingly to a broad client base ranging from youth to elite athletes across a range of sports, cultures, and countries
  • Be a role model through words, actions, and attitude
  • Integration and observation of athletes in their sport environment as feasible
  • Travel as necessary
  • Track nutrition-related data as needed in the Athlete Management System (AMS)
  • Collaborate with other APD divisions (Sports Medicine, Sport Science, Nutrition, Mental Conditioning, Leadership, Cognitive Perceptual Training) and participate in interdisciplinary pods with the other APD staff members who work in the same sport(s)
  • Day to day upkeep of facilities, cleaning and sanitation as necessary
  • Deliver and support IMG Institute initiatives and sessions as necessary
  • Support sponsorship companies and initiatives as necessary
  • Support team and group training and events as necessary
  • Utilize Teamworks to provide updates to athletes and parents on programming and training
  • Deliver virtual or online sessions as necessary
  • Provide supervision of assistant coaches and/or summer staff to include feedback and education
  • Provide coach or parent education as necessary
  • Assist colleagues for coverage as necessary
  • Assist with organizational tasks as necessary
  • Balance the needs of the business with the needs of the athletes and department
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethic codes
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive environment
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
  • Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field
  • At least 2 years as a Registered Dietitian (RD)
  • State Licensure in FL (LD) or State Licensure eligibility within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to comply with legislation in Florida in relation to Nutrition services and advice
  • Knowledge of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) SOP’s and SOPP’s for registered dietitians
  • Adherence to the Code of Ethics established by the AND
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and motivational skills
  • Understanding of latest research in the field of nutrition
  • Experience building menu & catering needs for athletes to maximize athletic performance
  • Ability to take accurate measurements, including body weight and height
  • Experience with body composition testing, specifically via Bod Pod
  • Ability to read/write/speak and understand English
  • Auditory and visual ability to assess and provide nutrition care
  • Excellent math skills
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Understanding of the rules of various sports governing bodies regarding restricted substances and supplements
  • Meet professional standards when working with clients, department staff, interns, and other professionals. This includes the ability to work with strong personalities
  • Participate in a team environment to ensure best practices of nutrition service
  • Able to troubleshoot situations and deal with any unique situations that may arise
  • Proactive personality who is a role model for nutrition on IMG Academy campus
  • CPR/First Aid certification
Preferred Skills
  • Master of Science in Nutrition, Exercise Science, or related field
  • Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD)
  • Experience working with a pediatric population
  • At least 2 years as an RD in a clinical setting
  • Multi-lingual
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40 lbs.
  • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
  • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays, is required.
